My Story - Michael Paling

Meet the Instructor!

I am a recent graduate from Michigan Technological University with a Bachelors degree in Forestry. I moved to Pentwater, Michigan to fill a foresters position with the Oceana Conservation District. Although my day time job is a conservation district forester, my free time consists largely of guitar and music. I have been playing guitar for 4 years and now practice daily. During my time at Michigan Tech I also completed several courses on music, such as Music theory and the physics of music.
My background in teaching varies from teaching 3 year old's to play hockey to high school boys in boy scouts to a college class as a teachers assistant.
My goal as a guitar instructor is to inspire my students to strive for their own personal goals. I love teaching others how to play the guitar and how to understand music. Contact me if you have any questions or are interested in lessons! I'd be happy to help you become the musician you are meant to be!
